Adapting lapbelts to propper belts?
baby three on way, cant get bigger engine cos only passed test last july.
currently driving 1.2 sl corsa automatic (auto licence only) already been quoted cheapest 800 for next year auto insurance.so any bigger engine gonna cost us a small fortune.
hoping i can just change the midde belt for a propper belt so hubby can sit inbetween two kids, and one bub in front?? not comfortable but cheap.
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters i don't think they look at engine size in detail. 4 cylinder is a 4 cylinder to the auto insurance. well in the states anyway. you may want to contact you're auto insurance provider to find out about the auto insurance rates. if you must, it wouldn't be hard to get a "proper seat belt" from a junkyard or what ever and drill holes to mount it and just bolt it up from there. it might not be 100% of a factory install belt but it would serve the purpose i suppose.
