Does Florida auto auto insurance have some sort of new windshield coverage?

I need an arguement solved. i was on interstate and some rocks/debris flew off truck in front of me and damaged my windshield. everyone keeps telling me that my auto insurance will cover the windshield to be replaced but I do not see this in my policy at all. I only auto auto insurancery the basic minimum needed to insure auto auto insurance. Is there something I am missing or does anyone what these other people are talking about? I do not auto auto insurancery comp or collision.

Yes, in Florida it is a law that auto insurance must cover complete windshield replacement.this doesn't mean you can get it done anywhere you want but most places are authorized.

In your case, unfortunately not. You don't have comprehensive nor collision coverage.Florida Statute 627.7288 states that the deductible shall not apply to windshield damages. However, you must have either comprehensive or collision coverage. A policy that provides liability coverage only will not cover your windshield. Source(s): http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/index.c…

In FL, your comprehensive coverage does cover windshield replacement/repair at no cost to you. If you have liability only, it's not covered. Sorry

hi lisa, its charles. i work in the collision industry and deal with auto insurance companies all the time. since you only have state required coverage, the answer is no. you would only be covered if you had comprehensive coverage. sorry

Try to deal it out of pocket, otherwise auto insurance rates will go up much more. You can check how quotes will change here – autoauto insurance.maclenet.com
