Undecided Question

How long should I wait?

I just got auto coverage 2 days ago. I was going Northbound on the I-17 and a gravel truck in front of me was driving like an idiot and all kinds of rocks hit my windshield. Left 4 chips in my windshield. I have zero deductable glass auto insurance. So I could easily have somebody come out and replace it, without any burden to me… but is the auto insurance company going to find it suspicious that I've only had coverage for 2 days and this happens? Will I have to deal with some **** or will they be pretty cooperative?

If you buy an umbrella and the next day it rains, will you be suspicous or grate ful?

Apparently you're a new driver too, or you would know to stay at least 300 feet behind gravel trucks. Just claim it, get it fixed, and don't follow so closely in the future.

Regardless when you get and use auto insurance your premiums are going to go up if you use it.If the cracks on your windshield are smaller than a dollar there are lots of glass places that will fix it with a spray/adhesive for really cheap or free – it will keep them from spreading – forcing you to replace the whole thing.
