I got pulled over today…?

I was driving next to a police auto auto insurance and slightly passed him. He told me I was doing 46 in a 35 and was upset and told me that I was being disrespectful and I need to show more respect for the police. I was crying in the auto auto insurance because I felt like an asshole, even though i wasn't maliciously trying to do anything.

Either way, I got a ticket. It did not have the price written on it. He said I had to call a number in order to find out what my fine is.

This is my first ticket I have ever gotten. Ever. I am a 21 year old female and I told the officer I was just going to YSU (my college) for a class. I ended up missing it but I didn't tell him that.

Will this ticket cost my auto insurance premium to go up?
Or do I have to get at least 3 tickets?

Also, how many points will go on my lisence?

Btw- I live in the state of Ohio. I don't really know if our laws are different..
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I'm kinda sauto auto insuranceed :\

Really, your first ticket-go to Traffic School if they have it in your area and you won't get any points just a fine.

more than likely yes tickets go on a record which your auto insurance goes by the record on your license, my advice is that you tell your auto insurance company before they find out the hard way

That is a 2 point violationCost is around $95.00auto insurance will probably go up, call your agentAnd Ohio is the number 1 state in the country for writing speeding tickets

In Ohio that is 2 points. Contrary to other answers, traffic school DOES NOT erase points in Ohio. What is does is increase the number of points that result in a license suspension from 12 to 14. A normal speeding ticket is only 2 points. Don't even worry about them yet. The fine varies form one municipality to another. Most auto insurance companies won't raise your rates for a single ticket. Many won't for a single collision. That said, the auto insurance company determines 'points' for the purpose of determining rates 100% independently of points on your DMV record.

ok you slightly passed him and u was going 46 in a 35 mph area but if u just passed him he must of been speeding as well so go to the cop station and tell them u got the ticket and tell them he was speeding and tell them to check his on board camera if u was speeding and slightly passed him then he MUST have been speeding as well it doesn't take 11 mph to slightly pass some1
