Should I drop full coverage on my two vehicles?
Okay, i have a 1997 Toyota 4runner and 1999 Honda Accord. I pay $120 a month in auto auto insurance with full coverage. The toyota is worth $2725-3000 private party. The Honda is worth $2500 private party resale according to kelly blue book. I am thinking about dropping them down to liablilty here in southern california. Both vehicles are owned by me. Im with Erie auto insurance right now but would consider others if anyone thinks im paying too much? But im mainly interested in whether I should assume only liability and uninsured motorist for my older vehicles.
Over 10 yrs old the auto insurance companies will only total then out . For the will worth less then the repair damage . I would go with just liability .
I would go liability only as well. You should be able to have something written up in the range of $55-69/mo in my experience. You can compare lots of rates from around 20 auto insurance providers at http://totalcoverageauto insurance.info. (If Erie cannot get you that price) Source(s): http://totalcoverageauto insurance.info
I Agree: I would go with just liability. You are lucky not to pay what we pay here in NJ for auto auto insurance. Try this new website (http://www.savingdrivers.com) to get reliable quotes, and help you get a better idea if it is worth to switch your current auto insurer. I personally like it because it works directly with just 4 selected affordable companies, and won't saturate you later with unwanted "extra" info and agent phone calls.
